Natura Canyon

1. Purpose

These General Booking Conditions (GBC) define the booking procedures and participation rules for canyoning activities organised by Natura Canyon.

By making a reservation, the customer fully accepts these conditions.

2. Booking

Bookings are accepted subject to availability.

A reservation becomes final once the required deposit has been paid.

A booking confirmation is then sent to the customer by email.

3. Prices and Payment

All prices displayed on the website are in Euros (€).

A deposit is required when booking online.

The remaining balance is payable on the day of the activity according to the payment methods specified by Natura Canyon.

4. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by the Customer

Any cancellation request must be made by telephone or email.

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled departure time will receive a full refund of the deposit.

  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled departure time will result in the deposit being retained by Natura Canyon.

  • Failure to attend the activity ("no-show"), arriving too late to participate, or cancelling after the departure time will also result in the deposit being retained.

However, Natura Canyon reserves the right to consider exceptional circumstances (accident, hospitalisation, serious family emergency or any other duly justified force majeure event) and may, at its sole discretion, issue a full or partial refund as a commercial gesture.

Cancellation by Natura Canyon

Participant safety is our highest priority.

Natura Canyon may cancel, postpone or modify an activity due to:

  • adverse weather conditions;

  • unsafe water levels;

  • natural hazards;

  • exceptional guide unavailability;

  • or any other circumstance likely to compromise the safety of the group.

In such cases, customers may choose between:

  • rescheduling the activity, subject to availability;

  • or receiving a full refund of all amounts paid.

5. Weather and Safety

Canyoning activities take place in a natural environment and are directly dependent on weather and water conditions.

For safety reasons, Natura Canyon alone decides whether an activity is maintained, postponed, modified or cancelled.

Weather conditions considered unpleasant by the participant, but not presenting any safety risk according to the guide's professional judgement (light rain, cloudy skies, cool temperatures, etc.), do not constitute valid grounds for cancellation with refund.

6. Route Modification

For safety, environmental or organisational reasons, the guide may modify the planned route or propose an alternative canyon of an equivalent level.

Such decisions are made solely at the guide's professional discretion and shall not entitle participants to any refund.

7. Participation Requirements

Participants must:

  • be at least 7 years old;

  • be able to swim and feel comfortable in the water;

  • be in good physical condition;

  • have no known medical condition incompatible with canyoning.

The guide has sole authority to determine whether a participant is fit to safely take part in the activity.

If inaccurate information has been provided during booking or if participation is refused for safety reasons, no refund may be claimed.

8. Safety Instructions

Participants agree to follow all safety instructions given before and during the activity.

The guide reserves the right to immediately exclude any participant whose behaviour could endanger themselves or others.

No refund will be granted in such circumstances.

9. Jumps

Jumps offered during canyoning activities are never compulsory whenever a safe alternative route is available.

The guide will always adapt the progression to each participant's abilities, confidence and experience.

10. Late Arrival

Participants must arrive at the meeting point at the scheduled time.

A delay of more than 30 minutes without prior notice to Natura Canyon may result in cancellation of the booking without refund of the deposit.

11. Schedule

The times provided are indicative only.

They may be adjusted depending on weather conditions, the group's level, safety requirements or any circumstance beyond Natura Canyon's control.

12. Equipment

Natura Canyon provides the technical equipment required for the activity, including:

  • a wetsuit;

  • a helmet;

  • a harness;

  • canyoning shoes when this option has been booked.

Participants must bring:

  • swimwear;

  • a pair of closed sports shoes or trainers;

  • a towel;

  • a bottle of water (recommended);

  • optionally, a snack for after the activity (Purcaraccia and Vacca).

The equipment provided must be used in accordance with the guide's instructions.

Any intentional damage or damage resulting from clearly inappropriate use may be charged to the participant.

13. Liability

Canyoning is an outdoor adventure sport involving inherent natural risks despite all safety measures implemented by Natura Canyon.

Each participant acknowledges having been informed of these risks and agrees to follow the guide's instructions to ensure their own safety and that of the group.

Personal belongings (mobile phones, cameras, watches, jewellery, glasses, etc.) remain entirely the responsibility of their owner.

Natura Canyon cannot be held liable for any loss, theft or damage to personal belongings.

14. Insurance

Natura Canyon is covered by professional public liability insurance in accordance with applicable regulations.

This insurance covers damages for which the organiser may be legally liable.

Participants are encouraged to ensure they have personal liability insurance and, where appropriate, personal accident insurance suitable for outdoor adventure activities.

15. Image Rights

Photographs and videos may be taken during activities.

Unless participants expressly object before the activity begins, Natura Canyon may use these images exclusively for its communication purposes (website, social media, brochures or other promotional materials).

This authorisation is granted free of charge and may be withdrawn for future use upon written request.

16. Personal Data

Information collected during booking is used solely for:

  • booking management;

  • organisation of activities;

  • communication with participants;

  • administrative and accounting purposes.

Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

It is never sold or transferred to third parties.

17. Availability of Activities

Availability displayed on the website is updated regularly.

In the exceptional event that Natura Canyon is unable to provide a booked activity for reasons beyond its control, customers will first be offered an alternative date.

If this is not possible, all amounts paid will be fully refunded without any additional compensation.

18. Force Majeure

Natura Canyon shall not be held liable for the cancellation or modification of an activity due to force majeure under French law, including but not limited to:

  • natural disasters;

  • exceptional weather conditions;

  • administrative closure;

  • fire;

  • landslides;

  • pandemics;

  • government decisions;

  • or any unforeseeable and unavoidable external event.

19. Applicable Law

These General Booking Conditions are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, the parties shall first seek an amicable resolution.

Failing agreement, the French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

20. Acceptance of these Conditions

By confirming a booking, the customer acknowledges having read and accepted these General Booking Conditions without reservation.

The customer also confirms that they have understood the physical requirements of the activity, the cancellation policy and the general safety instructions.
