A few words about the region ...

The Bavella Needles dominate the pass of the same name.

Impossible not to recognize them : their strange shapes and sharp peaks crown the mountain. Moreover, some needles, like the Punta di u Furnellu, reach dizzying heights exceeding 900m. Hang on!

An alpine variant of the GR20, the Bavella Needles are also a great playground for climbing enthusiasts . But just as the GR20 is getting ready, a cliff expedition cannot be improvised: "knowledge of the terrain and adequate equipment are essential.

Act with caution "...

If you come to walk, climb, bathe in the limpid waters of the different canyon that make up the region, or just admire the view, we give you some advice :

Come there early in the morning. There are 2 reasons for this:

Firstly the sun is only present in the morning until the beginning of the afternoon because this place is covered with scrub, and then because the popularity of the place attracts many people ... During the high season, the narrow road leading to the pass is overrun with cars and coaches. It is therefore difficult to progress there… Such a utopian place must be earned :-).

And at the foot of the Bavella Needles : a pine forest of over 900 hectares, recognized as a nature reserve. After the effort, the comfort !

NB : Other canyons are possible for formed groups.
